The SK Trinity to Showcase Korean Tech at CES 2019

SK Innovation, SK Telecom, and SK Hynix, which are SK‘s three major companies, are making a presence at CES 2019 for the first time.

Consumer Electronic Association (CES) attracts large and small companies and projects globally to showcase the year’s shiny new tech.

SK Hynix is going to introduce memory semiconductor solutions that are necessary for innovation in mobility technologies. It is going to display D-RAM and NAND-Flash that are used for self-driving, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), infotainment, and Telematics. It is also going to introduce HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) and Enterprise SSDs which are used for communication and data analysis between vehicles and data centers.

SK Innovation is going to participate in CES for the first time in South Korea’s energy and chemical industries. Based on differentiated technology, it is going to introduce batteries for electric vehicles, ESS (Energy Storage System) batteries, LiBS (Lithium Ion Battery Separator), and FCW (Flexible Cover Window), which are major components of batteries, and others that are being promoted as next-generation growth engines.

SK Telecom is the only South Korean mobile network provider to prepare a booth for display at CES and introduce self-driving technologies such as single photon LiDAR(a surveying method that measures distance by illuminating the target with pulsed laser light and measuring the reflected pulses with a sensor) and HD map update. In addition, it is going to introduce HoloBox, oksusu social VR at a booth that will be co-exhibited by SM Entertainment. Through this process, it is going to introduce its vision of 5G-based tangible media services to viewers.
