Ministry of Science, Technology and Information and Communication will hold the 4th WRC Preparation Conference (APG19-4) in Asia-Pacific region that will discuss distribution of 5G international frequencies. The meeting will be held from 7th to 12th at the Haeundae Grand Hotel in Busan.
The WRC takes place every four years and this meeting that will decide on distribution of international frequencies such as frequencies for 5G network. The discussion will cover 28GHz band mobile communication service protection conditions, and 1.4GHz/2.1GHz band mobile communication service protection conditions and 25 other more.
Korea is planning to focus on global expansion of 28GHz band, which is Korea’s 5G frequency band, by actively holding bilateral talks with major countries such as Japan and India, as the host of this APG 19-4 meeting.
