On January 22, Twice reached a monumental milestone by having their music video for “TT” surpass 500 million views on YouTube. As of Wednesday, the video reached 504 million views. The music video, published on October 23, 2016, and after three years and three months, are one of the few Kpop artist groups to achieve the view count.

Alongside TWICE that broke through the 500 million view mark are Psy with “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman”; Blackpink with “Kill This Love,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” and “As if it’s Your Last-Kr ver;” and BTS with “Fake Love,” “DNA,” and “Dope.”

Twice’s song “TT” revolves around a girl’s sorrow towards a boy who she cannot let her feelings go even though the latter is mean and rude towards her.  The music video depicts the artists’ famous hand movements throughout, which shows the TT emoticon, which means “like crying,” which suits the song’s concept.

The music video has a Halloween vibe to it, with every member dressed up in different personas. The song is included in their third extended play album, Twicecoaster: Lane  1.

TWICE is a nine-member k-pop girl group from one of the three big agencies, JYP entertainment. They originated from the Reality show called “Sixteen” and officially debuted on October 20, 2015. The member consists of the finalists Jihyo, Nayeon, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, Mina, Sana, Tzuyu, Jeongyeon and wildcard Momo who was included in the final episode of the show after being eliminated in episode six. They are a multinational group consisting of five Koreans, three Japanese and one Taiwanese.

“Sixteen” is a reality girl group survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet in 2015. The Korean show assessed sixteen contestants to secure a spot in the girl group Twice.

Other notable music videos from the group that recently reached high view count include “Likey” with 433 million views, “What is Love?” with 367 million views, “Heart Shaker” with 308 million views, and “Fancy” with 266 million views.

With the rapid growth in their popularity and success across Korea and the world, the girl group TWICE will surely hit another 500 million view mark on Youtube anytime soon.

Congratulations TWICE on your accomplishment!
