KT Prevents Dementia with ICT

KT is going to prevent dementia with information and communication technology (ICT) based brain power enhancement program.

KT has decided to jointly pursue “support programs for prevention of dementia and improvement of dementia awareness” with the Korea Veterans’ Welfare and Medical Service at the central Veterans‘ Hospital in Gangdong-gu, Seoul on Tuesday.

Both companies are going to establish ‘preventive maintenance system’ for healthy aging and the establishment of a social safety net. KT is going to carry out ICT-based brain stimulation programs such as ‘Impact reality with colored paint’ and ‘Finding the Way with Coding Robot’ at 5 hospitals (Central Veterans Hospital, Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Daejeon) and veterans’ nursing centers across the country.

“KT will expand its scope of activities as a leading company in the fight against dementia through wide cooperation so that it can contribute to KT’s warm technology towards solving national social problems such as dementia,”

Lee Seon-joo, director of KT’s Sustainable Management Team.
