LG and Naver Labs are More than Friendly CES 2019 Booth Neighbors

LG Electronics and Naver have been looking for ways to cooperate at CES 2019, the world’s largest IT exhibition that is currently being held in Las Vegas.

The two Korean tech companies settled on researching AI driving with the application of xDM (eXtended Definition & Dimension Map), which is Naver’s technology platform, to LG Electronics’ CLOi GuideBot.

“We will make efforts to further advance our life environment intelligence technology by taking advantage of this partnership with LG Electronics, which is developing variety of robots and innovating technologies,”

“We plan to make our customers feel new values and experiences through LG robots in their daily lives. This cooperation with Naver will not only strengthen the foundation for providing a better life for customers using LG robots, but it will also serve as an opportunity for the two companies to expand cooperation in various areas of robots.”

LG Electronics is introducing variety of robot products based on core technologies such as artificial intelligence and self-driving technology. LG has been aggressive with its robot line “CLOi” which includes the recently debuted ‘CLOi SuitBot’, which supports waist muscles in the industrial and commercial space CES 2019.
