Before embarking on the full-scale implementation of the Saudi Arabia Digital Twin Platform construction project, Team Naver is strengthening its collaboration with LX Corporation.

On December 15th, at Naver 1784 located in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, Naver Cloud (CEO: Kim Yuwon) and LX Corporation (CEO: Eo Myeong-so) signed a ‘Memorandum of Understanding for the Saudi Arabia Major Cities Digital Twin Platform Construction Project.’

After signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with iotsquared, a Saudi Arabian IoT and smart city technology solutions company, on December 7th, Naver Team is expanding partnerships domestically and internationally to enhance collaboration for the related project.

This MOU is a more concrete development of the ‘Business Agreement for the Expansion of Overseas Digital Twin Construction Projects’ signed in July between Naver Cloud, Naver Labs, and LX Corporation, aiming to concentrate mutual capabilities.

Naver Cloud and LX Corporation will integrate their respective technologies and know-how to collaborate effectively, ensuring the efficient and swift progress of Naver Team’s Saudi Arabia Digital Twin Platform construction and operation. Naver Cloud and Naver Labs are conducting various digital twin projects globally using the ALIKE solution. LX Corporation’s ‘LX Platform’ supports analysis and simulation for resolving urban and land issues based on 3D spatial information derived from digital twin technology.

Eo Myeong-so, President of LX Corporation, stated, “If the collaboration between the two companies generates synergy, we will successfully build Saudi Arabia’s major cities as digital twins, marking a significant milestone for expanding comprehensive cooperation. We will generously share our technology and capabilities to become a catalyst for exporting K-Smart infrastructure to the global market beyond the Middle East.”

Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, expressed, “Through collaboration with LX Corporation, which possesses diverse expertise in land information management, we anticipate greater synergy in large-scale national digital twin platform construction projects. We will continue to build a collaborative foundation for project success with excellent domestic and international partners in various fields.”
