NCSOFT and Harmonix introduces FUSER, an interactive music game.

South Korea-based game developer, NCSOFT, in partnership with Harmonix Music Systems introduces the next-generation of interactive music gaming named FUSER, empowering players to perform and create shareable mixes becoming a DJ at a music festival.

The game enables players to take control of the music, fusing elements taken from hit songs from some of the music industry’s top artists, such as Imagine Dragons, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Migos, Post Malone, The Chainsmokers, and many more.

A pioneer of interactive music gaming, Harmonix, with almost 25 years of experience, created breakout hits like Rock Band and Dance Central. The game developer also created “Frequency” and “Amplitude.”

Harmonix’s CEO, Steve Janiak, said that with FUSER, the company is delivering the ultimate music fantasy as a game.

FUSER, powered by Harmonix’s patented technology, would enable players to flawlessly merge bass lines, drum beats, vocals, and other instrumentation from a wide variety of music artists and genres. The gameplay innovation allows users to identify their unique music character. Performers can also share their masterpieces through social media, therefore allowing other users to watch and request songs online.

NCSOFT CEO Dr. Songyee Yoon said that when they first encountered FUSER, they instantly knew it would become something extraordinary. The CEO added that Harmonix as a fantastic game developer, which paved the way for every player to be their own star.

Harmonix, along with NCSOFT, would unveil FUSER at the upcoming indie game convention, PAX East, this weekend in Boston with more than 100 songs included in the game. Attendees of the convention would be the first to experience a demo play of FUSER, becoming a festival DJ.
