Samsung Electronics held on Wednesday its first-ever online Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event, unveiling the smartphone provider’s second Galaxy Note 20 flagship model along with four new advanced devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Tab S7, Galaxy Watch 3, and the Galaxy Buds Live.

Samsung live-streamed the event at the CJ ENM Studio located in the Ilsan, Goyang Gyeonggi Province.

“Technology has to make life easier, not more complex. That’s why we have introduced five new power devices. Each one of these devices is a powerful tool to help you maximize work and play.”

The Korean tech giant introduced five new devices to its Galaxy ecosystem during the event, streamed for about two hours.

Galaxy Note 20 Ultra

Samsung unveiled two new editions of the Galaxy Note 20 series, the 6.9-inch Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the 6.7-inch Galaxy Note 20. The tech company would release the two models on August 21 worldwide.

The latest Note 20 versions feature highly improved gaming quality and S Pen functions. The models give Note fans an even more powerful and exciting experience with advanced Samsung Note features.

Galaxy Note 20’s latest S Pen provides 80 percent faster response speed than its predecessor Note 10 S Pen. The improvement offers users an almost real-time handwriting experience.

The new Note 20 also allows users to switch from their smartphones to Windows 10 PCs using Microsoft‘s Your Phone app with Link to Windows function.

The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra boasts a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a first in the Samsung’s Note series. The display delivers vivid and bright visuals, automatically adjusting to content users’ view optimizing battery life.

Additionally, the smartphone comes with super-fast charging capabilities and an all-day intelligent battery, which could charge over 50 percent capacity in only 30 minutes.

The base model for the new Galaxy Note 20 comes in at 1,199,000 won ($1000), while the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a price tag of 1,452,000 won ($1220).

Galaxy Z Fold 2

Samsung also introduced the much-awaited latest edition Galaxy Z Fold 2 during the show. The new foldable phone sports two almost bezel-less Infinity-O Displays. When folded, the smartphone has a 6.2-inch cover display, while the main screen opens to 7.6 inches.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes in either mystic black or the lineup’s signature color mystic bronze. Samsung also said that it would also collaborate for the second time with Thom Browne, a New York fashion house, for a limited premium design Galaxy Z Fold2 Thom Browne Edition.
