As the COVID-19 pandemic gripped the world to almost a standstill, it emphasized the great importance of personal hygiene. In the effort to combat the spread of bacteria, viruses, and germs, Samsung C&T introduced a portable ultraviolet (UV) sterilizer that could quickly disinfect smartphones, glasses, earbuds, and other items that fit in the device.

Samsung C&T is a partner of the Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program (SMAPP).

99 Percent Safe from Bacteria and Germs

In separate tests done by independent test and certification institutes, Intertek and SGS, the UV Sterilizer effectively eliminates up to 99 percent of germs and bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, and E.coli, on the surface of objects. Considering the number of items consumers use every day, Samsung C&T designed the device to fit and sterilize various belongings.

Practical and Sleek Design

The UV Sterilizer consists of two UV light sources located at the top and bottom of the device sterilizing the whole surface of the item placed inside. It features a sleek and minimal exterior designed to blend into the user’s home without looking out-of-place.

Easy to Use Design

Samsung C&T’s UV Sterilizer only uses a single button to control the UV function, either on or off. After placing an object inside the device and turning it on, the sterilizer automatically shuts off after 10 minutes. This feature ensures that users would not worry about whether they remembered to turn off the device if they leave the device in their house or car.

The UV Sterilizer also features wireless charging for smartphones while disinfecting the device. This assures users that their handhelds would be clean, charged, and ready to use. Its small design also makes it easy to use and portable.

Manufactured by Samsung C&T, the UV Sterilizer is available in both online and retail stores.
