Samsung Electronics on Wednesday announced the global launch of its latest customizable RB7300 bottom-mount freezer refrigerator (BMF) and a new roster of AI-powered smart laundry.

“We strive to develop home appliances that can boost lifestyle values while maximizing performance, keeping in mind the desires and needs of our consumers.”

-Hyesoon Yang, Vice President of Samsung Electronics.

Samsung plans to feature the new laundry lineup and RB7300 BMF refrigerator at the company’s ‘Life Unstoppable’ virtual event happening on September 2.

WW9800T: AI-Powered Laundry Process

Samsung’s WW9800T washing machine leads its new laundry lineup with artificial intelligence (AI) control. The washer allows users to customize the laundry process to attain perfect washing experience with less time, energy, and effort.

Samsung’s innovative QuickDrive technology could decrease energy usage by 20 percent and washing time by about 50 percent. The WW9800T uses an independent moving drum and backplate that cleanse clothes thoroughly with less time. It also includes a digital inverter compressor, which uses strong magnets for quieter and more robust performance using less energy.

Meanwhile, Samsung’s EcoBubble Technology turns detergent into soft bubbles providing faster penetration into fabrics, even in cold water.

The WW9800T washing machine offers a personalized laundry experience through its artificial intelligence feature. The AI control learns users’ behavioral patterns and combines it with big data to make recommendations on wash cycles on its display. It could also detect weight and degree of dirt then adjusts the water and detergent optimal for the wash cycle.

The Auto-Cycle Link automatically sets the best dryer cycle for each wash load.

Additionally, Samsung’s SmartThings program allows users to control and customize their laundry settings from their smartphones.

BMF Refrigerator: Maximizing Storage Space

Another innovation from Samsung, the RB7300 BMF refrigerator, capitalize on fridge space without the need for more expansive exterior proportions. Samsung’s SpaceMax Technology provides highly efficient insulation to the refrigerator walls and creates a larger capacity of 385 Liters.

The new refrigerator preserves food well with its revolutionary Optimal Fresh+ box featuring an adjustable drawer. The BMF also employs an “All-Around Cooling and Metal Cooling” for maximum freshness.

The fridge’s contemporary built-in look adds a level of sophistication with its sleek stainless-steel finish. A smooth metal safety cover located at the back conceals coils and cables behind the unit, providing a minimalist design. The compressor automatically adjusts speed based on cooling demand, thus requiring less energy to operate.

Samsung would first launched the RB7300 in Europe this August, followed by the CIS region, China, the Middle East, Latin America and Korea
