NCSOFT, a prominent global game developer and publisher, has achieved a significant milestone by being listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) Asia Pacific Index. This inclusion marks NCSOFT as the first Korean game company recognized in this prestigious index, underscoring its commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices.

The DJSI, developed by S&P Dow Jones Indices and S&P Global, is a globally respected index that evaluates companies based on comprehensive criteria covering economic, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects. NCSOFT’s inclusion in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index places it among the top 20% of ESG-focused companies across Asia and the Pacific, among the 600 largest corporations.

This achievement highlights NCSOFT’s dedication to industry-leading practices in information security, data privacy, human resources development, and environmental transparency. The company has shown notable improvement in crucial segments like climate change adaptation and materiality assessment, reflecting its ongoing efforts to align with global sustainability standards.

In addition to its DJSI Asia Pacific recognition, NCSOFT has consistently received high ratings from prominent ESG evaluation agencies. It maintained an AA rating in the 2023 Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG Ratings. It achieved the highest rating among Korean game companies with an A in the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS) ESG Ratings for three consecutive years.

Myungjin Park, Principal Corporate Brand Officer at NCSOFT, expressed pride in the company’s successful ESG management, stating, “Our inclusion in the DJSI Asia Pacific Index is a testament to our steadfast commitment to sustainable business practices. We will continue to focus on addressing ESG issues with a long-term perspective, ensuring consistent enhancement of our ESG performance.”

NCSOFT’s recent strategic move to strengthen its global market presence is further evidenced by the hiring of Byungmoo Park from VIG Partners, illustrating the company’s ambition to expand its influence beyond its current standing as a leading game company in Pangyo Techno Valley.
