COMEUP 2022

COMEUP 2022 to be held in November.

The organizer of the festival ‘COMEUP 2022’ Korea Startup Forum announced that it would start online pre-registration for the prestigious program and introduce a new homepage.  COMEUP is the largest startup festival in Korea, designed to promote Korea’s excellent startup ecosystem to the world and to exchange with overseas investors and global startup ecosystems.

Online pre-registration for COMEUP 2022, which will be held for three days from November 9 to 11, will proceed through the website until November 8. Anyone who wants to participate in the event, including (preliminary) entrepreneurs, startup executives and investors, as well as those involved in the startup ecosystem and general visitors, can apply.

Pre-registrants are provided with detailed information, such as the program, speakers, and schedule of COMEUP 2022, so they can easily check the progress of the event. Discount coupons from startups such as Baedal Minjok and Socar will also be presented to applicants.

In addition, by November 6, they can participate in business matching to find investment and collaboration points between startups and investors. By November 8, apply for a visit to COMEUP X, a global linked program organized with domestic and foreign partners and companies such as Italy and Germany.

This year’s COMEUP is the first event to be held under the private-government-assisted system. It is expected to receive high interest as the startup ecosystem is centered under the slogan ‘We Move the World’. There will be a ‘Startup Valley,’ the IR pitching stage for innovative startup leaders, including the 70 COMEUP Stars and 10 (preliminary) unicorn companies selected through the highest competition ratio of 12.6 to 1. The event will look at the reality and future of the startup ecosystem by organizing various programs such as ‘Conference,’ where you can listen to lectures and panel discussions by domestic and foreign celebrities and ‘OI Ground,’ where large global companies and VCs participate in promoting cooperation with startups.

COMEUP 2022 has wholly reorganized its official website to strengthen its identity as a startup festival. The newly developed BI (Brand Identity) was actively applied with startups’ free and dynamic energy. The new BI’s primary colors, tangerine and sub-color purple, were used to create a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere in the startup ecosystem. In addition, the easy and intuitive UI is designed to enhance the accessibility and convenience of visitors further.

Korea Startup Forum CEO Choi Seong-jin, who chaired the COMEUP 2022 executive committee, said, “This year’s COMEUP, which is made by the startup ecosystem, will be the most startup-like festival than any other event in the world. We hope everyone interested in startups will participate and have a fun and meaningful time.” COMEUP 2022 will be held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from November 9 to 11, and participation is also possible through online live broadcasting.

In the past, COMEUP was operated mainly by the organizing committee in the form of a public-private consultative body composed of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and private experts. The new slogan of COMEUP 2022 is ‘We Move the World’, which means to show the dynamism and energy of the startup ecosystem that moves the world.

The Korea Startup Forum is an organization made up of startups to support the development of the startup ecosystem and represent common interests. A total of 2,036 startups and innovative companies are affiliated with it.
