Triple Cameras in Korean Tech’s Samsung Galaxy S10

It is predicted that Samsung Electronics’ foldable Smartphones will be equipped with triple cameras. Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd. is going to supply major parts such as camera modules.

According to industries on the 30th, Samsung Electro-Mechanics Co., Ltd. is going to supply triple camera modules to foldable Smartphones that are released by Samsung Electronics in first half of 2019. The performance of the camera is expected to be similar to the triple-camera, which will be used for the flagship smartphone “Galaxy S10” in the first half of next year. It is a dual-camera and ultra-wide single camera. Samsung Electronics is planning to use a dual-plus ultra-wide camera on the back of the top two models of the Galaxy S10 series.

Popularization of multi-cameras means that number of camera modules that are purchased by Smartphone manufacturers will soon increase, which is good for rear-end industries such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics.

According to a market research company called Strategy Analytics, shipments of global foldable Smartphones will increase to 3 million in 2019, 14 million in 2020 and 50 million in 2022.
